The ’Dogs have had impressive victories in the last week over Warren Wil son, Elon, UNCA, and Livingstone. Three seniors have been the big difference in another 20 or more wins season for Coach Eddie Holbrook. Jim Blanks is averaging almost 20 points, Alvin Jones is averaging 16 points, and John Searight is also averaging 16 points and leading the team in rebounds, averaging 11 rebounds per game. Billy Ellis, John Fait, Doug Turner, and George White have aU been instrumental in the ’Dogs success this season as the playmakers. Offensively, the team is averaging 97 points a game and allowing 75 points defensively. The field goal percentage is 49 per cent and free throw percentage is 70 per cent.
