More About Coach Moore Frank Beam Heads Drive Bulldog Club Helps Athletics Thomas Moore, an assistant coach at Clemson for the past nine years, has been named head football coach at Gardner-Webb. Moore has coached the defensive secondary squad and receivers and tight ends. He is a former assistant at Witchita State and was an All-Southern Con ference split end at The Citadel. Captain for four years in the United States Air Force, Moore graduated from The Citadel in June 1967. He played four years for the Cadets and was team captain in 1966. Moore’s coaching experience dates back to Aurora Central High School in Aurora, Colo, in 1957. He coached there for a year and then went to Wichita State University in 1968, where he coached for three years. He was head freshman coach on^ year and coached the varsity quarterbacks \ ] isi TOM MOORE HEAD FOOTBALL COACH and also coached the split receivers one year. A native of Dayton Ohio, Moore played in the same high school back- field as quarterback Joe Namath. The 1979-80 Bulldog Club Board of Directors set a goal of $60,000 for this year in the Bulldog Club. The money raised by the Bulldog Club goes towards athletic scholarships and scholarship assistance is available to students with athletic ability and a desire to attend college. The Bulldog Club wants Gardner-Webb to compete on an even basis with other colleges. Members of the Bulldog Club directly assist student athletes in obtaining an education. Contributions from a large number of individuals will accomplish the desired results without great sacrifice on the part of anyone. Success lies in numbers and the Bulldog Club would like to see 400 members for 1979-80 year. October 27, 79 Elon College Away—2:00 p September 15, 79 Newberry College Home—7:30 p November 3, ’79 Presbyterian College Home—2:00 p September 22, 79 Mars Hill College Away—7:30 p.m November 10, 79 Emory & Henry Home—2:00 p September 29, 79 Liberty Baptist College Away—7:30 p.m October 6, ’79 Lenoir Rhyne College Home—7:30 p November 17, 79 Wofford College Home—2:00 p November 24, ’79 University of Mexico Home—2:00 p October 13, 79 Catawba College Away—2:00 p October 20, 79 Carson-Newman Home—2:00 p.m Homecoming $50—Individual Membership Car decal, membership card, athletic events schedules, bulletins from coaches, statistics from SID, one ticket to all home football games in Bulldog Club Section for basketball. $85—Family Membership Car decal, membership card, athletic events schedules, bulletins from coaches, statistics from SID, admit tance of wife and husband to all regular ly scheduled home football and basket ball games with seating in the bulldog Club Reserved Section. $125—PHD Membership (Pay Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars) Car decal, membership card, athletic events schedules, bulletins from coaches, statistics from SID, admittance of wife and husband to all regularly scheduled home football and basket ball games with seating in PHD Club Section. (Both football and basketball will be reserved seats). Option to buy additional PHD Club seats at season ticket prices for immediate family. Reserved seats are numbered and will be issued on a first come first serve basis with privilege of retaining same seat from year to year. Reserved parking for football and basketball. $500—SAB Membership (Sponsor A Bulldog) Receive car decal, membership card, athletic events schedules, bulletins from coaches, statistics from SID, SAB reserved parking card. Receive 4 numbered, reserved seats in football and basketball. Have top priority on Bulldog travel. Are recognized at the annual Bulldog Sports Banquet. Receive a handsome plaque denoting sponsorship. The plaque is a special design, beautifully engraved with athlete’s picture mounted on walnut. $6500-VICTOR PROGRAM Lifetime membership in the Bulldog Club. 6-8 numbered reserved tickets upon request. Complimentary tickets to the Bulldogs Sports Banquet. A Victor Gift of a Bulldog tie, belt buckle, lapel pins, and rug. A Victor Plaque. Contribution levels shall be $6,500 and up.
