Speaking
Of Sports
by
Jeff Melton,
Sports Editor
The sports scene at Gardner-Webb is
now beginning to pick up. Volleyball
and football have given way to basket
ball. With this increased activity
comes a time where game stories become
more numerous.
So, I am asking for your help once
again. If you are a player or a
coach, and you want to see more about
your team in print, do not hesitate to
either track me down or send any news
about your team to CID 112. If no one
is there, slide your story under the
door.
I apologize to Steve Emory for
crediting Mark Kimel with the fumble
recovery that set up the win over
Elon. It was Emory who recovered the
loose ball. Sorry about that, Steve!
GOLF
The Bulldogs finished fifth in their
own tournament at River Bend Golf
Course. Clemson won the rain-
shortened event, which speaks for the
caliber of competition the Bulldogs
faced.

to take a 38-17
halftime lead.

dogs outscored
Central Wesleyan
in the second half

only get within 10

well throughout
the game and came
away with the win.
