Student Poll Results GWC Gets "Bashed" By R. Shawn Lewis On October 4, 1988, Gardner-Webb College polled its students on several key topics concerning the school. 67 0 students, 52 3 of which were residents, participated in answering the questionnaire (approximately one third of the entire enrollment of the college) . The questionnaire asked the participants to rate Gardner-Webb on a scale of "1" to "5", "1" being excellent and "5" poor. On the whole, results of the poll were very positive, showing the college as "above average" to "excel lent" in many areas. Appear ance of the campus, faculty- staff relations with students, and concern for students, are all areas that the college fared well. After a much-needed, semi-nutritious meal in the cafeteria, "Bash" was ready to start their sound checks. Fi nally, at 8:30, they were ready and so were all of the eager students who came to see just what these long-haired, earring wearing, high-stepping musicians were all about. The "Bash" began with one of their hits off of an earli er album, "Testify". During the concert, they performed such hits as "Soon and Very Soon", "Go Ahead", and "Big Mouth" (the title cut off the new album). The fog machines, beachballs, and confetti defi nitely added to the show, but "Bash", Continued on Page 6 SEASON’S GREETINGS FROM THE STAEE OF THE PILOT!
