What Confucius Never Said , but Might Have by Kevin Walter Staff Writer • Two birds in the hand is no where near the worth of one in the stomach. • "A penny saved is a penny earned," but you can't buy air with a penny, so you might as well fill up a jar with them and use it as a paperweight. • "Within every cloud is a silver lining," and it is as wet as we are after the rain falls. • If a friend jumped off a bridge, would you? No. So if that friend got Frito pie, would you? I think the answer is obvious. • If at first you don't succeed, fail, fail again. • When a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, yes it does make a noise (trust me I wasn't there to hear it, but I did.) • It takes between 275 - 278 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop, not 2 licks and a bite (true fact). • Pizza, Pizza. • Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do. • When in Rome do as the Romans do; when at Gardner-Webb do as the seniors do, eat out.
