Gardner-Webb University THE PILOT August 14, 1997 Special Edition The Official Campus Newspaper Boiling Springs, NC Freshmen and transfers invade campus by Karen Brower co-editor Freshmen and transfers will help make for yet another record-breaking enroll ment this fall. Fall 1996 enrollment hit an all-time high at 2,768, and was closely followed by Spring 1997, according to Director of Admissions Ray Hardee. The numbers for the Fall 1996 semester are 10 percent higher than any other in the past. But this fall's enrollment should surpass even that record. "It's possible that overall enrollment will be as high as 3,000 students this fall," Hardee said. That's the most he's seen in his 11 years here. Such an enrollment will make for a 30 percent increase over the past three years. Hardee expects between 375 and 385 freshmen and between 150 and 175 transfers.
