Senior Caleb Smith sat in the bot
tom of the DCC listening with intent as
President George Bush announced to
the nation that the American military is
in the early stages of disarming Iraq.
The news did not come as a sur

the president’s decision.
On the Inside
“Saddam Hussein is a potential
threat to America,” Smith said. “We

Other students also tuned into
Bush’s speech. Sophomores Kellie
Robinson, Matt Verlander and Beth
Hester were working in the Suttle
Wellness Center when Bush’s four-
minute speech came on.
