“I felt good, especially after the last pertbr-
mance I had,” said Weatherby, “We’re pretty
strong, we didn’t play to the best of our ability
and we still won, so all we have to do is keep up
with our good pitching and keep swinging the
bat.”
Another key point that will allow the Seahawks
to continue to win, and possibly stay on top, is to
learn how to combine the mental and physical
aspects of their games.
“We just need to induce runs when we have
guys on base and there are no outs, we have to
follow through and focus,” infielder David Ange
said.
“Good teams find a way to win. We have made
mental mistakes in at least three of the last five
games we’ve won. Those games should have been
easy for us to win, but because of our mistakes
they have been complete batdes. We have to do a
lot of work to make up for it, and we woric hart,
we’re giving 110 percent,” outfielder Justin
Wishon said.
And hard work seems to have been success
ful thus far for the UNCW baseball team. The
rest of the season will demand that same 110 per-
cent fiom the team. TTiey meet Geoige Mason on
April 21 for their next home game against Geoije
Mason University.
