THE SEAHAWK/ Crime Report for October 26 -November 1,2001 7:00 p.m.—Courtney Brianne Douglas, 21, UNCW student, reported larceny of a pocketbook from King Hall. 5:55 p.m.—Stephen Alric Gore Jr, 20, of Wilmington, was arrested for 2“* degree trespassing in Galloway Hall. October 31 10:20 p.m.—Eight students were re ferred to the DOS office for alcohol viola- ins on Riegel Road. 9:45 p.m.—A student was referred to the DOS office for underage possession/ consumption of alcohol. 9:17 p.m.—A student was referred to the DOS office for underage possession of alcohol and possession of another person’s drivers license in Galloway Hall. October 30 7:20 p.m.—Thomas Lane Brown, 18, was parked in “P” lot. 8:54 a.m.—Keri Lynn Franklin, 25, UNCW employee, reported larceny of a fi nancial transaction card and fraudulent use of the card. 1:08 a.m.—Student was referred to the DOS office for underage possession of al cohol and possession of marijuana in “P” lot. 11:02 p.m.—One student was referred to the DOS office and two non-university mem bers were removed from the university for possession of marijuana in the Apartment area. 3:00 a.m.—Four students were referred to the DOS office for underage possession/ consumption of alcohol in the Apartment October 25 9:36 a.m.—Brandon Lamar Fonville, 19, of Wilmington, and Bradley Bryan Smith, 23, of Raleigh, were involved in a traffic collision on Randall Drive. Though the ECO organization has not taken an official stance against the war in Afghanistan, according to Marschhauser, most of those participat ing in the rant seemed to be opposed to the war because they were ready to take action to voice their opinions. She also said that she found it difficult to believe that 90 percent of Americans support the ECO Vice-President Chessie Ferrell said most people on campus do not agree with the ECO members. “I think a lot of environmental issues have to deal with social justice,” ECO vice-president, Ferrell said. Leon Buchanan, a sophomore and member of the National Guard, said that though people express their'problems with the war, no one is providing solu tions.
