Since the founding of St. An.
draws College, there has been
a Christmas tradition for the
seniors. This tradition lent it.
self to an evening of gaiety and
fun on December 4 when the
Senior Class met to decorate
the Student Center.
Gathering in the Student Cen.
ter for an evening of fun, fellow
ship, and frolic, the members
of the senior class had, as one
member put it, “The most fun
ever!"
Mrs. Dove with her usual vi
brant spirit was hostess for the
occasion.
' The main lounge was a bedlam
of laughing seniors. Here was
a group untangling lights for the
huge tree; there was a group
assembling the wreath which was
to hang over the front door.
One jolly group designed and
created the mistletoe ornament
which was hung over the entry
to the Post Office.
The tree took on new dimen.
sions as the seniors—assembly
line style—put on the lights,
balls, and tinsel. The final touch
was the placing of the star on
the topmost branch. Judi Kline
was honored with this task. After
a few mishaps and not a small
amount of struggle the star was
in place. As the lights came
on, all agreed that it was the
prettiest yet.
Several unfortunate accidents
failed to dampen the festive spirit
of the class of '66 on their night.
Linda Graham is reported to be
the broken balls champ, and no
one is quite sure who is re
sponsible for the spilt gum-drop
tree.
The evening drew to a close
as the seniors, led by Roger
Lamb, chorused the songs of
Christmas at each dormitory.
As the group returned to the
dorms, the echoes of the new
class cheer rang in the night
air.
