If you left the gym early Mon day night because of the late start of the basketball game, the State-Carolina game, or to study, you probably wish you had stayed around. As SA was losing 32-39 at the half and was down 18 points with ten minutes left in the game, I wiU have to admit that St. Andrews did not look like it was going to win. So, how do you explain a 105- 95 win? Well, it took two over time periods, thirteen time outs, a technical foul on Captain Gary Linn, another on the ZOO SQUAD (for too much spirit), and some of the best basketball played at St. Andrews in a long time. Two free throws by Gary Linn with one second left put us in a 76-76 tie. The game Dorm Basketball Basketball intramurals fbr women begin on Thursday, Feb- ruary 10. The participating teams are from Albemarle (A and B), Concord (A and B), Wllmin^on, and a combined team from Granville and Orange. Games will be played in the auxiliary gym. Practice games held on Tuesday and Wednesday showed a good turn out. It’s not too late to join a team. If you want to play bas ketball, contact the W.R.A. re presentatives in your dorm. It mi^ go to Gary Linn for bombing In 27 points, or Robin Daniel for 16 rebounds, or Ray An drews for 21 points and 13 re bounds. It could go to the whole team because we had 50 re bounds, 21 steals and we won 105-95. We controlled the boards and everyone had a good percentage from the floor and the free throw line.
