Lamp & Shield by JOHN H. KRANTZ The 1979-1980 Lamp and Shield has met its deadline, according to a very weary Jon Johnson. Since the yearbook has met its deadline, it will be brought out on May 1st if Hunior Publishing Company keeps its end of the contract. During the first week the annual will be handed out during lunch time hours. Later, the Lamp and Shield will be available through the bookstore. Notices will be posted during the last week of school for those who have not picked up their annual. The annual will be put back on sale for the rest of this month at a cost of $10. After this month, the yearbook will cost $12. except for those who made pledges to buy the yearbook. Jon Johnson is really counting on the students who made pledges. Jon Johnson is “satisfied with the yearbook,” and “had a good time” working on the annual. He also claims that the yearbook is a “fun book.” Thus, Johnson can now get his much needed rest. Yes, I have been going to church, sort of.'My alarm is set on the Gospell channel, so I hear a sermon, every morning, when I wake up. I make it to REAL church about once every other week, which ain’t bad for a struggling college student. Speaking of struggling, just thought I would remind you and Pop that inflation has increased and money doesn’t go as far as it used to. So if you don’t want to see your child ammaciated, and not having any money to hit the big town of Laurinburg on Saturday night could you please send some money.
