Women^s Softball End Season Women’s softball finished a winless season last week, after having to recruit inexperienced students to complete the squad. He is a widely read sportswriter, whose articles have been published in the New York Times and Reader’s Digest, among others. Before joining CBS, Packer was an integral part of NBC’s college basketball broadcast team along with A1 McGuire and Dick Enberg. Besides his many sports commitments, he serves as a r>nn.sii1tant. to McDonald’s Restaurants and is creator and moderator of a seminar title “Media Now To The 1990’s.” Packer, a former AU-ACC player, was a starting guard for Wake Forest in the early 60’s. he was a member of the 1962 Wake team that went to the final four of the NCAA Basket ball Tournament. The team lost in the semi-finals to Ohio State, who went on to win the national championship, and defeated UCLA for third place.
