The Lance January 26,1990 Sports Lady Knights Continue to Struggle Michael Roberts The Lady Knights con tinue to struggle through a tough season, as a loss to Hight Point College dropped their overall rec ord to 1-13, and 0-6 in the conference. Inside scoring and the lack of inside de fense continue to plaque this young team, as they have been heavily outre- bounded and outscored in the paint. Junior transfer Megan Kleinbauer continues to lead the team's scoring punch averaging 14 points per game, followed by Kristing Mosher at 13.5. Kleinbauer has scored over 20 p>oints in five games, and has led the team in points in 9of 14 games. Kleinbauer scored a season high 27 against Coker College. For ward Kristin Mosher leads the team in rebounding with an average of 6 per game. The only win for the Lady Knights thus far in the sea son came against Queens College on January 11. The Lady Knights won easily, 77-59. Kleinbauer led the scoring once again with 21 points, and guard Debbie Jones collected a team high 9 rebounds. Although she is the starting point guard, Debbie Jones is second only to Mosher in the rebound ing category, averaging 5 per contest. The next contest will be on Saturday, January 27 at Harris Courts against Mount Olive. The Lady Knights lost by a four point margin in the first match up.
