In the second contest, the Rhinos managed a 0-0 tie at half, against the Duke "B" team. The first score for St. Andrews came on a Lane Moore to Chris Edwards pass. The final score of the second game was 10-4, in favor of the Blue Devils. Although they lost both games, the Rhinos feel that they gained valuable experi ence. "We're just happy to be playing," said Pat Sav age. "But without the help of people like President Reuschling, Dean Greer, and many professors, it would have never hap pened." "shocked" y award, and ■ gives much credit to her coach Laurel Smith, and her former coach, JoAnn Williams. "Coach Wiliams taught me everything I know about volleyball. I get excited about any award I might get, but this one is special because it is, in a way, a trib ute to her and her work. It is a way that I can honor her," said Biagioli. Biagio!' stated chat Wil liams has been a primary influence in her life, on and off the court. "Coach Wil liams taught me to never give up, no matter what. She was very wonderful and inspirational, and taught me to always strive for the best," she said. St. Andrews has featured several outstanding teams since Biagioli's first year, but in her senior season she found herself on as team that managed to win only four matches. Biagioli ad mitted that the transition was difficult, and she knew she would have to assume leadership responsibilities. "I really didn't feel any pres sure. Getting people fired up, and getting the team motivated is part of my per sonality," she said. "I feel comfortable taking charge." Biagioli was also named to this year's Carolinas Confer ence All-Toumament Team, which was hosted by St. Andrews in the name of JoAnn Williams. "The fact that it was in her name really gave me motivation," said Biagioli. "She always told me that if I had determina tion, worked hard, and was a team player, then good things would come my way.
