College ueans Plan Changes
Uwrence Schultz, is planning a transition from Ws current position. He will
become a professor of political science in the spring of2001. He does not intend
on leaving the campus in the foreseeable future.
In the past eight years, Schultz has had many accomplishments. He
perfected the academic advising system and developed the possibility for students
to do more interdisciplina^ work in their majors. He created opportunities for
applied studies in internships and fieldwork.
Schultz will teach comparative government with a strong grounding in
Asian cultures. He would like to develop new approaches to field study and
develop more study abroad opportunities for politics majors. He hopes to have St.
Andrews students visit Scandinavia and South East Asia. As a professor, Schultz
will teach his students the different ways societies address universal human
