The Symphonic Chronicler I ■■■■ ■■ II iHii httpy/intranet.sapc.edu/clubs/lance/articles/billy.html hope you reach your first 1000 soon." Most of those are from people in the rock and pop categories. What's the coolest compliment you've ever received? I got an email from this composer. He does a lot of music for TV and movies. He did Animal Farm. He linked me to his site and he gave me some advice. He said all I really need is some more training and an orchestra to make my music complete. I do get a lot of really nice email though. How would you describe your music? I tried to do that on my site, it's very difficult. I love instruments more than words or singing. I don't think music needs lyrics. I think instruments can tell a story and display emotion. What are your influences? To be honest, well, Nintendo music specifically. I will be a nerd and say it out loud. I love videogame music. But I also love film scores. John Williams, James Homer and especially Danny EUman. I'll be having my art show and I will be playing music with it. I'll have my CDs for sale there. What are your plans? Can you call them hopes? I hope to be famous and I say that all the time and laugh inside because it takes somebody with motivation. But when it comes to music I am motivated. I think that's what it takes and I have it. My ultimate dream is to score music for motion pictures. For the meantime rU keep selling CDs on MP3.com. When are you going to do a theme song for The Lance? MM ■ I 4 I've just finished a piece that's influenced by hip hop. It started off with just a beat but their are some j obvious symphonic-techno symphonic-things in it. I'm also in Connectionz. I'm going to play my keyboard and put on show el whappo. What are you working on right now? I have something in mind. I just have to put the instruments together. 4/3/00 7:54 AM
