Hello there,
and welcome to an
other edition of, The
Lance. This is a new
section in the news
paper, where Student
Government will
inform you about what
we are involved with
around campus and the
issue that we are work
ing to change and make
better. St. Andrews is a
one of a kind institu
tion. SA was the first
college in north Caroli

stigma. What SA does
the almost no other in
stitution anywhere has
students on all faculty
committees, so every
thing that goes to vote
and the into policy here
on campus somewhere
a current student voted
on it at the time of the
decision making pro
cess. You can see that
this task is not easy, and
we still have a hand full
of positions to fill, we
just as you would like

job.
So far this year
we have formed a new
club, the ‘Food Adviso
ry Committee’ chaired
by Jennifer Burns:
Jennifer is a senior this
year and if you would

rently we are working
to appoint student
representatives to posi
tions around campus
and positions involved
within the faculty.

with bugs, the school
‘bug bombs’ every
dorm at winter break
and summer break.
The bugs have been
driven back inside due
to the humidity. The
humidity is normal,
just this year it is above
average, courtesy of the
hurricane season. The
school cannot come
in and spray again, for
a few reasons; 1) the
chemicals need time to
sit and then dissipate,
so time is needed to
render the dorms safe
for humans, just like
