Work-Study Supervisors!! Please remember you are RESPONSIBLE for turning in student timesheets St. Andrews is blessed with a beautiful campus of which we may all be proud. As we continue to host potential students, new staff, prospective faculty, alumni, and campus visitors, our grounds crew has been working diligently to improve the campus appearance with continued plantings of grass. You can help this effort by following a simple rule: No parking or driving on the grass (this includes the areas adjacent to athletic fields)! Please drive on the paved roads and park in a parking lot! This includes no parking on the shoulders of our streets - Dogwood Mile, Magnolia Drive, and St. Andrews Drive. The parking lots are a short walk to our residence halls, academic buildings, and athletic fields. Please use them! Walking is good exercise. For those of us who are unable to walk from parking lots to athletic fields, etc., we suggest that you be dropped off at and picked up at the area you wish to visit and have the car parked in a lot during an event. 1 ask that you refrain from driving or parking on our sidewalks. These are for use by our pedestri ans, golf carts and wheelchairs! Occasionally maintenance and delivery vehicles will need to drive on our sidewalks; we have asked that this be kept to an absolute minimum. Horse trailers are permitted to park in the designated area. We are also taking action to have the abandoned bus removed from campus. Please also remember that the covered porch at the entrance to the Liberal Arts Building is for loading and unloading and for picking up or dropping off individuals who need special assistance. Do not park your vehicle and leave it unattended. The parking lot is only a few extra steps. These measures are also outlined in our 2006-7 Saltire. To help reinforce these issues. Campus Safety and Security will start to issue warnings for a brief period. Then our officers will issue parking tickets to violators. Driving or parking on grass is a $100 fine. This will be strictly en forced. Please help us keep our grounds looking their best. I appreciate your help! Sincerely, John Harlan Vice President for Administration and Finance
