The New Editor of The Lance Speaks
It has been a great honor to be accepted
into the St. Andrews Community but even a .
gr^er joy to be named the next Editor and
Chief of The Ixmce. I plan to make The Lance
entertaining, fun and a proud representation of
St. Andrews Presbyterian College. The tradition
By: Melody Kirkpatrick
of The Lance will continue with writers from
different backgrounds and textures. I want a
little something for everyone and the ideal goal
is to include student and faculty writers that will
hopefully capture the readers attention.
All thoughts, concerns, ideas and
questions are welcomed from everyone because
I want The Lance to be our place where all of us
(St. Androids) can share stories that might cause
tear drops or stories of laughter. Most important
it will be the source that will keep us all con
nected through the visions of our writers.
Last Words from the Soon to be Former Editor
It has been a wonderful year as your
Editor-in-Chief of The Lance. I feel that it was
a lortg but productive year for everyone and I
hope you all enjoyed the issues that have been
put out this year. Next year the tradition will
continue and 1 am very happy that Melody is
taking over.

I want to thank Melissa Hopkins, Gary
Greene, and Edna Ann Loftus for always be
lieving in me and keeping me on task with what
needed to be done. I also want to thank all of
my writers even though we are a small group
without you there would not be a newspaper.
Lastly I want to thank you, the reader for being
there and reading this wonderful newspaper.
Thank you all from the bottom of my
heart, without any of you there will be no Lance
for people to enjoy. Thank you again, and
please give Melody your support in the coming
school year.
