Non-ath- letes preferred but athletes wiU be considered. Hours flexible. Availability on weekends depending on the athletic schedule. If you have an interest in the athletic training profession or a health care related field this would be an excellent position for you to consider as your work-study job. The St. Andrews Sports Information Dept, is still looking to have three or four work-study positions. You need to be available to work sporting events such as soccer and vol leyball in the fell. Your job would be to assist the sports information staff in keeping statistics for each sporting event. All applicants are eligible. If interested, please contact Morgan Farroll at: farrollmc@sapc.edu • New Summer Course Available: Dr. JeflF Birdsong will be offering SPA 251 Practical Spanish Conversation (3 credits) online this summer. The course will give partic ular emphasis to Spanish vocabulary important in the equine industry. To take this course, you must have completed SPA 152 Spanish Language II or have Dr. Birdsongs permission. The class will begin on Wednesday, May 15 and conclude on Tuesday, July 19. Here’s some of what's buzzing on campus right now! • Students headed to Vietnam soon: Planning continues for the Vietnam trip, and all the students who signed up will be headed for Vietnam with Prof. Howard Reichner, and will be participating in the ultimate educational expe rience, by partaking in the country and its culture. The trip begins May 7, and lasts through the 26th. • Volleyfoall is back!: on April 12, it was announced that St. Andrews would be holding an open volleyball tryout for all female students interested in playing volleyball for the upcoming 2011/2012. Tryouts were held on April 20, in Harris Court. So now. Lookout 2011—2012! SAPC sports is going to rock! ■ New course approved to meet humanities requirement: RST 220, Intro to the Hebrew Bible (3 credits) has been added to the schedule of classes for the Fall 2011 semes ter. It will be taught Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2:00 p.m. And, it has been improved to meet the human ities requirement that will help students get the credits they need, which is good news indeed! • The Softball Program to put on a day camp this sum mer: From June 13 through the 15 th, the Summer Softball Day Camps at St. Andrews will provide intensive training to folks ages seven through 18, from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. Morning sessions will cover defense, and afternoon sessions will cover offense.
