March, 1948 STATE TEACHERS COLLEGE NEWS LETTER Page Three ALUMNI NEWS The Executive Commit'tee of the General Alumni Association at its meeting in January, adopted the regulations listed below regard ing the Student Loan Fund. Any student desiring to secure a loan from the fund should read care fully the regulations and then fol low the procedures as outlined. 1. Those students recommend ed by the Registrar and Board as worthy of loan resulting from pre vious three-year record will be up for consideration. 2. Students under age will have to be endorsed by their parents. 3. There must be an agree ment between student and loan board, properly signed and notar ized, before loan can be consider ed. i. There will be a fee of 6 per cent interest on all money loan ed. 5. It will be agreed upon be tween studen't and Loan Board that before or not later than the fourth month of the first year of teaching, payment will begin and last until the end of each school year until bill is paid. 6. To receive a loan it will be futher agreed upon that students will teach at least one year or more until the said bill is paid. 7. Application must be made nine'ty days in advance for proper consideration. 8. Parents or those responsible for loan must sign with student. II—Securities 1. The applicant must have notes signed by parents or those in authority, worth 'three times the value of the loan at 6 per cent interest. (At present, the loan will be limited to Seniors and is not ‘to exceed $150.00 to any one individual. 2. If the said student has an insurance policy worth the value of the loan and is in benefit, it will be considered as a collateral, but must b? kept up by the studen't or members of the family and turned over to the Association. 3. If a student is forced to withdraw from school, the loan be comes payable upon demand. Ill—Requilred Information 1. Family history of the stu dent. 2. Scholastic record. 3. Other qualifications. State’s deserve a ‘big hand’ for their loy al support to the E.I.A.C. Champs. Whether our boys were winning or losing, they inspired them to fight hard with their yells. If the Pir- in the morning, our cheerleaders were right there to greet them victory or defeat!
