WHAT IS GOING ON?
As Black men and women. Black universi
ty students, I ask are you really cogni
zant of what is happening in Viet Nam.
Let's cross the waters, over into a land
of proverty, A land where men and women
die in their sleep, white a war is fought
that has no real meaning. Why must this
continue to be? There are many problems
involved in solving the Viet Nam crisis.
One problem is our nations President.
According to the press, our President
taken a rather negative attitude to
ward the whole matter. Speaking solely
from an individualistic standpoint of
view , I feel that Nixon after forcing his
°Pinion into our brains prior to the elec-
^'on has now.adopted the I-don't-real ly-
care attitude or the
o'’-me attitude, uhich ov«r the case may
he is in big trouble.
Black nien and wunien, with t^9 high
ratio of Blacks in Viet Nom as compared
to White, we really need a ten day Nora-
toriuin. Witli speola) oinf>J»j>sle on Slack—
men . If a university or college stnd«nc.
is sent to Viet Nam, believe,me he will
be Black nine times out of ten. I am
sure we realize what the draft situation
is so let us grasp our views, our opinior
and let the student body know about them.
Don't do your thing alone, baby, in this
case its our thingl Let us put our whole
heart, body and soul into this Viet Nam
controversy. I assure you it won't be
a waste of time.
