may 11, 1970 THE COMPASS PAGE 9 Cheese Eaters And Conformists Are Out This year’s Student Government election brought about a change, a change that will be bene ficial for the student bo dy. The conformists and cheese eaters and con formists? They were the students who filled cer tain offices and who sat in on the Advisory Coun cil. These persons were guilty of saying “yes” to the Administration on too many controversial issu es. I truly believe that if they said “no” on more issues, our school would be able to produce bet ter qualified student lead ers. This practice of going along with a good many of the proposals given by the Administration, was not the case with all of our SGA officers, but the majority fell into this group. It is hoped now that our newly elected SGA offi cers will not be guilty of this practice, to an ex treme degree. Yes, this year’s elec tion has brought about a change. So to the Advi sory Council I say, look to this change with a glad den heart. For this change will prove to be a change that will determine abet ter future for ECSU. “Skull” SGR Starts Charter Here A chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority has been established on the Elizabeth City State Uni versity Campus.
