Adopts New Procedures Oxford, Ohio (LP.) — The University Council at Miami University has adopted the following revised Academic Grievance Procedure. “That revised procedure have the right to question a grade received, but should realize that difference bet ween questioning a grade and changing an instructor with violation of good teaching practices. It cites the fact that students first should consult the instructor to voice a com plaint and attempt to work out a solution. If not satisfied the student then has the right to confer with the chairman of the department and ask for a review of the grade given, through the departmental grievance procedure. It provides a ten-week deadline for filing a grievance but that is ten weeks into the next regular semester following the one which the grade being ques tioned is received. The Divisional Appeals committee is authorized to make whatever grade change it seems is warranted by the facts of the case and whichis consistent with the University grading system. The commit tee, however, may not remove a course from the record.” New Furniture Purchased BY Lillie M.
