Past efforts for local runners simply didn’t hit the starting line, but this race drew 46 runners for the 7.5- mile course and a consensus of opinion for “the best race ever” and a demand for an early re-run. “It was a well directed race, a quiet course--no bicycles, houses set back from the street, and no rough stuff-no elbowing and crowding out of runners,” the winner said. Ron Brown, ECSU race director promises a major spring run.
