Perhaps you see yourself as a doctor, businesswoman, or even a news anchor. Whatever you dream, do not let it die. A dream is a wonderful thing. It can give you hope for your future and encourage you to try when all odds are against you. But beware! There are dream killers that want to snuff the life out of your dream. Do not let them do it! People who cannot or do not want to see dream fulfilled can kill your dream. They may tell you that it is impossible, that you are not smart enough or that it has never been done before. However, many times the biggest dream killer is you. If you let fear, intimidation, doubt, lack of finances, etc., dictate to you that you cannot fulfill your dream, talk back to these killers. Tell them, “I can and will fulfill my destiny, my dream.” You may have to do this everyday, but that is okay The more you instill within your heart that you can do it, your dream will be held safe within you. It is very important to take steps towards fulfilling your dream. In order to fulfill my personal dream of one- day owning my own magazine, I had to go back to school and obtain my college degree. For you, it may be something different. You know deep inside what the voice of your dream calls for. Do not be afraid. Just do it. Try not to let too much time go by. Time is another one of those dream killers. Meditate on the words of a song by Yolanda Adams, “Keep the dream alive, don’t let it die. If something deep inside keeps inspiring you to try, don’t stop. And never give up, don’t ever give up on you. Sometimes, life can place a stumbling block in your way, but you’ve got to keep the faith...” When you dream, dream BIG, and never give up. There is no law that says you have to dream small. Your dream is just that: yours. Never let anyone tell you that your dream cannot happen; it can! Nurture your dream. Keep seeing yourself do what has never been done before. As you continue to feed your dream and pro test it, not only will you keep it alive, but also it has no other choice but to come forth! Jason Mitchell jymitchell@hotmail.com Itinerary High School College The Real World Brothers, your choice is to follow the path or take the road less trav eled. It is imperative to search for self-image, rather than to tailgate the group. Real men can stand alone, function, and make crucial and critical decisions on their own. Broadcasting your manhood means nothing, but your actions and the image you por tray does. Take a hold of responsibility and merge right onto the road less traveled. Increase self-awareness by learning more about you before attempting to figure out someone else’s problems. Do not be quick to provide a prescription, get your prob lems in line first. Learn your likes and dislikes and your strengths and weak nesses and work on both to improve yourself. Brothers, working on yourself will increase your stock value and will aid in your travel of life. In life, there are no shortcuts; however, hard work, determination and perseverance will lighten the bumpy road. The voyage you have embarked on has many unchartered roads, but with a sturdy pavement and an accurate map you will reach your destination. We are all born fol lowers, but we make the choice to be a leader. Being an individual sets you apart from the crowd of followers and forces you to shine. Leaders run the world. So, when your time arises to lead, be ready to face life’s expedi tion head on. Pack your bags for the road of life and do not forget these essen tials: Self pride, Self worth, morals, values, respect, confidence, dignity and love. Do not worry, with these items you will be well prepared for your journey. Remember to prepare yourself for the future because the future cannot prepare for you. Kimberly Blackwell prayer7@hotmail.com Believe it or not hardships are good for us. They help us learn to endure. When endurance develops, strength of character in us develops also. Character also strengthens our confidence. During hardships we can also find peace because the battle is not ours anyway; it is the Lord’s. Here on earth we will have many hard ships. But when we pray and give up all of our hardships to Lord we can count it all joy. So be happy, because Jesus has already over come the world. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Christians should expect to suffer for their faith during their life time here on earth. As Christians we try to patiently endure hardships of every kind. We have been beaten physically, mentally, and spiritually. We face people who hate us without a cause. We have also worked our selves to exhaustion, and endured sleepless nights. We have even gone with out food. But what we have to remember is that we have righteous ness as our weapon, both to attack and to defend us. We serve God whether people honor us or despise us. Everything has a reason and a season. Whether we like it or not, we have to keep on living and not let anything slow us down. God causes everything to work together for the good to them who love Him. So when ever hardships come our way, let it be an opportunity for joy. When our faith is tested, our endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow because when our endurance is fully developed, we will be strong in char acter and ready for anything. CRYPTOaUOTE Substitute the letters below with the correct letters.
