LOCATION: Floyd L. Robinson Auditorium - Fine Arts Complex
This cultural presentation is aimed at giving participants an understanding of
the arts and history of the Yoruba people of southwestern Nigeria, Africa.

JAZZ CAFE
Jazz Cafe will be helf in the University Center Commuter Lounge at
8:00pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2003. All students are welcome
to sing, read poetry, and enjoy the jazzy atmosphere.
ECSU HOSTS FREE FACULTY RECITAL
Elizabeth City State University announces a faculty recital on Tues
day, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Floyd L. Robinson Auditorium of
the Fine Arts Complex.
The concert will feature music written by Dr. Christopher
Palestrant, an ECSU faculty member in the Department of Music. He
will perform with two other faculty members, Professor Amelia Harris-
Home, a soprano, and Dr. Dangsun Song-Lee, a pianist.
The concert is free and open to the public. Featured is a perfor
mance of the song cycle “Prufrock,” a setting of T.S. Elliot’s famous
poem, “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.”

ECSU HOLDS HEALTH PROFESSION SEMINARS
The Office of Health Careers at Elizabeth City State University will
host a series of free seminars on health professions for students and
adults considering a career change.
5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. February 17, a radiological science and case
study teleconference will be held in room 128 of the Information Tech
nology Center. Presenters will highlight admission requirements, career
options and a case study to prospective students. Radiological technol
ogy is the health profession where radiation is used for the diagnosis of
diseases and injuries.
5:00 a.m.- 7:00 p. m. February 24, a North Carolina health careers
teleconference will be held in Room #128 of the Information Technology
Center.
