R.J. Reynolds Industries, Inc., as associate pastoral counselor. He had served as assistant professor of religion and university chaplain at Winston- Salem State University since 1961. Lewis, a native of Siler City, N.C., earned a B.S. degree at Winston-Salem State in 1957. He obtained a master’s degree in divinity in 1961 from Andover Newton Theological School, Newton Centre, Mass. He has 'completed course requirements for a master’s degree in sociology at Wake Forest University here. The R.J. Reynolds pastoral counseling program, begun in 1949, is one of the oldest corporate programs of its kind in the nation. Pastoral counseling is available to RJRJs 15,000 employees in Winston-Salem to assist them with whatever family or personal problems they might have, including any difficulties related to alcohol, drugs and finances.
