G)ed Visitation
C'oecl visilaiioii has operated rather smoothly this semester. That is to say when
il actually look place. Due to a lack of participation, there were many nights
when tlornis were without coed visitation. Students wanted coed visitation but did
iiol want to work with it. • i
The cry lor coed visitation began in August but it did not actually exist until late
March. This was because students talked about it but did not push the Student
(iovcriunent Association to get it. Now everybody wants coed visitation without
(hose silly rules like the door being open at least six inches, “6 to 10,” student
ID’S, no outsiders and hall monitors. How can this actually happen if we can’t
ilcal with coed visitation as it is now? The SGA plans to work on coed visitation
this suininer and we could possible have it within a month after our return this
coniiiig fall. If cocd visitation does return, each dorm should not only discuss the
rules but also decide how everyone can participate without the same people work
ing almost every night.
I-uch dorm has enough students so that it is possible for students to work only
an hour at u time and once every other week. Students if you want to stop saying
you’re being treated like kids, be responsible and cooperate with the things that
arc granted and allowed. In doing so, you will be able to enjoy life on the “yard”
without !iO many rules and regulations. Also work with the SGA a lot more in the
future. The SGA can do many thinKs for you.
