As students and adults, let us try to give each other his due respect and in turn, make life here at WSSU more enjoyable, Liable, and fulfluing By Carolyn Baker Letter to the Editor Dear Editor, This year 1 had the distinct privilege of serving as the Student Coordinator for the 1983 Mr. Ram Pageant. Before assuming this position, 1, like many of the other students, was oblivious to the actual amount of time and work that went in preparation for the pageant. Although I knew that because of the quali ty of this event, there had to be a lot involv ed in its production, I never dreamed of the many details that came with the job. Nevertheless, Mrs. Elaine Browne, assisted by Mr. Oscar Beall and Ricky J. Morris undertook the task of producing another pageant, making this the ninth year of her involvement with the show. Webster’s definition of dedication doesn’t even begin to give Mrs. Browne justice as many times I saw her work herself to the point where she would come to work the next morning exhausted because of her in ability to rest the night before. I was very happy and proud of the 1983 Mr. Ram Pageant not only because I played a small part in its success, but because I knew of the amount of work that had gone into it. I wish to congratulate Robert Wise, Jr. and the other contestants for their cooperation and talents used in making the pageant a success. In closing, I want to say to Mrs. Elaine Browne that people like her are the ones that make me proud and happy to be atten ding Winston-Salem State University. 1 always knew that there were some things special about WSSU and Mrs. Browne, you are one of them. Hopefully, other students will realize hpw fortunate we are to have persons such as you and will give you the thanks and respect that you and the Mr. Ram Pageant deserve.
