The newly-elected officers of the senior
class of 1986-87 are: President, Robert Von-
Eric Mack; Secretary, Doris L. Hussey;
Assistant Secretary, Veronica Yolanda
Gillon, and Treasurer, Paula Jean Holley.
Although their positiont are not official
until June 1986, they are already discussing
the upcoming year with excitement. Since
all of the officers are business majors, their
skills in handling business details with
order and precision will prove useful.
As senior class president, Robert Mack of
Kannapolis, N.C., plans to work closely with
the members of the class and to work hard
with the other senior - class officers for a
productive year.
He stated “I will need the support of all
my fellow classmates. I am willing to make
this senior class the best ever.”
Doris Hussey, of Tarboro, N.C., the new
class secretary says, “I plan to do my best
in helping the senior class achieve its
goals.”
Veronica Gillon, of Statesville, N.C. said,
“I plan to assist my fellow officers in any
way possible. We need unification to make
86-87 a successful year for our class.”
Paula Holley, of Tarboro, N.C., the new
treasurer stated, “By becoming the
treasurer, it gives me a great opportunity to
work with my fellow senior class members
as a whole.”

Michael Clark
Elected SGA Prexy

Michael Clark of Oxford, -North Carolina,
and a junior Business Information Systems
major at W.S.S.U. has recently been elected
the new S.G.A. president.
Clark applied for this prestigious position
with the confidence he was the leader who
could address the problems and concerns of
the student body. Clark considers himself a
good leader and is excited about fulfilling
his new duties.
As the new student body president Clark
along with his cabinet have many plans and
ideas. Their main goal is to promote more
school spirit and student involvement. By
getting more student input and turning their
ideas into reality. The students at W.S.S.U.
to become more active in organizations and
activities sponsored by the university.
Since entering W.S.S.U. in Fall ’83 Mike
has been a member of the Fellowship Choir,
Director of Juvenile Affairs, Sophomore
Class President and a Honor Student. Mike
has also received the Outstanding
Freshman Award and Leadership Award
his Freshman year.
Mike is very concerned about the students
here are W.S.S.U. and he is willing to help.
He would like to thank the student body for
supporting him during the elections.
Duane Morris elected To
Lead Class of 1988

The challenge of representing the junior
class has been accepted by a worthy and
eager native of Cleveland, Ohio, Duane
Morris.
Morris, an accounting major, is eager to
begin fulfilling the duties of his office and in
tends to contribute the time and energy re
quired so that his entire class would benefit.
“I want to stress academics to the class,”
said Morris. “I intend to be an example for
them and if I can do it, so can they.”
Morris also intends to encourage his class
into getting involved in more constructive
things such as writing and essay contests.
“We’re going to have fund raisers
specifically to promote creative things,”
said Morris. “It will not only help us as
students, but it will establish greater unity
among us.”
Morris hopes to encourage his class to be
fervent in pursuing their goals once they
have been set.
“I know we could all obtain every goal we
set for ourselves; every now and then we
need new motivation. I intend to be a
motivating factor during the next school
year by encouraging students to do the best
they can at whateber they do,” said Morris.
Duane Morris has demonstrated the zeal
and confidence necessary to represent his
class for the ’86-’87 school vear.
