received an offer from Winston-Salem State
University to become the chairperson of the
School of Business, which he considered,
“an excellent opportunity.”
For Dr. Bailey it was not a hard decision
to join the staff, because he has always liked
the Greensboro area, and he was very im
pressed with the faculty and students here
on campus. Dr. Bailey feels Winston-Salem
State University is a college moving in the
right direction, and he is proud to be a part
of this progression.
Dr. Bailey is impressed with the commit
ment of the administration. He is impressed
with the level of maturity shown by the
students here compared to the students at
other universities.
Dr. Bailey adds,“I feel a strong sense of
human interest in working with todays
students. I enjoy my work because I get a
strong degree of satisfaction from educa
tion. It is no secret that I have high expecta
tions for Winston-Salem State University’s
faculty, staff and students, all it takes it
total commitment.”
When asked what advice he would offer to
business majors. Dr. Bailey says that “first
one must look at the growth in a particular
market and then be the best at what you do.
No matter what field you go into get a good
background in Liberal Arts,”
Dr. Bailey is married and the father of
