Several different musicians and vocalists lent a hand in making this album. The stars included: Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and Bon Jovi. Their musical talent can be heard on one cut from the album, "Yeah". Personally, I think "Yeah" is the best song on the album. The album also includes songs such as: "Love's Alright", "Whatsupwitu", and "I Was A King." I give this album TWO RAMS!! The town was modeled after all- Black townships that were scattered from Oklahoma to Washington State. The movie stars Big Daddy Kane, Stehen Baldwin, Mario Van Peebles, Tiny Lister Jr., Charles Lane and Tone Loc. BY NHY SMITH Entertainment Editor Between 1870 and 1900 nearly one million African- Americans crossed the Mississippi. Many of these people were cowboys. One third of the cowboys were Black. The white cowboys of the Old West tried to emulate their England decendants which historians have labeled the "Nordic type" and the "Code of the West." "The "Nordic Type" is derived from early England's myths. These myths were about the savagery of the knights of the Round Table. The "Code of the West" was created by the European settlers because they needed a myth to create manhood. This myth; however, was taken from the "Nordic Type" to try and preserve European myths.
