Tall, strong and proud
Elegant and eloquent

As beautiful as the sunset
As mysterious as the night
As wise as an owl or
An eagle that takes flight

Sweet like candy or
Thick like molasses

Don’t You Want
To Know Him !
There’s someone who sits on
high and gave his very life
for you. A person who sees and
knows everything that you do.
But still has that unconditional
love for you.
A person who in the
midnight hour when you
feel all alone will comfort
you. A person who when
you're on dangerous highways
and byways will protect and
watch over you. A person who
when you're down to your last dime
will supply all your needs. A person
who when your friends turn their back
on you will supjx)rt you.
Comfort! Protect! Support!
Supply your needs!
Don’t you want to know him?
So Alone
Can you hear her cries,
Or see the sorrow in her eyes?
She can’t go on this way.
Will she make it through another day?
The love was deep within her heart.
Yes, that’s where it all had to start!
So, now what is she to do?
She’s so alone, and feeling blue.
Without that special someone in her life.
It’s full of sorrow, sadness, and strife.
She has so many feelings, unnoticed, deep inside.
For so long, so strong, she just can’t hide.
How can she come out, and show the world
her sorrow?
She doesn’t know if she’ll make it until tomorrow!
So, what is she to do?
She’s so alone, and feeling blue.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was
founded at Howard University on
January 9,1914 .
This academic year. Delta Alpha
chapter has worked on projects with
the Samaritan Soup Kitchen, Red Cross,
Sigmas Against Teen-Age Pregnancy,
the Sigma Beta Club and Big
Brothers/Big Sisters of Forsyth County.
They have also sponsored dances,
participated in step shows anfl helped
with the Coca-Cola Road Show during
the CIAA Basketball Tournament.
Delta Alpha’s officers include:
Maurice A. Jackson, president; Eric
Brock, vice-president; Levy Williams,
secretary; Charles Williams, treasurer;
Joe Duncan, chaplain; and Rem Brown,
parliamentarian.
Emmiu Smith, Jerry Rice, Alonzo
Mourning, A. Phillip Randolph,
George Washington Carver, James
Weldon Johnson are some of Phi Beta
Sigmas well-known meml)ers.
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., has
more than 700 chapters in the United
States, the Caribbean, Africa, Japan,
Europe, Asia and has more than
110,000 members throughout the world.
