October 1995 The News Argus Page 8 Ram Football from page 1 ECSU 22 - WSSU 19 Just when it looked like the Rams had gotten back on the winning track, the Elizabeth City State University Vikings pulled a rabbit out of a hat and scored a touchdown with four seconds left for a 22-19 win. Trailing 16-12 with under a minute left in the game, Richard Huntley scored on an 11-yard run and the extra point gave the Rams a 22-16 lead with 54 seconds left. It looked like a celebration would be in order, but ECSU had different plans. Aided by several Ram penalties, the Vikings moved the ball to the Ram 30-yard line. Viking quarterback Kenny Crump threw a short pass to Aaron Murchinson who broke a tackle, got good blocking upfield and raced into the endzone for the go-ahead score as the fans who braved the rain sat in stunned silence at Bowman-Gray Stadium. Huntley turned in another strong performance. He gained 201 yards on 33 carries and scored two touchdowns. The Rams fell to 1-2 for the season.
