The CD includes hits from Tom Jones and the Cardigans, Madness, Taj Mahal and the Phantom Blues, and many more. The CD is full of energy and roman tic edges. It includes the single "Bang a Gong" by London Bus Stop. This hit has Kid Rock feel to it. It is a remake of T. Rex's '70s classic "Bang a Gong." There is also a love song by Armie Lermox entitled "Train in Vain" which has a Toni Braxton-touch to it. There's another jumping track to move your head to called "I'm a Tree." The title sounds crazy, but it is good. Overall the soundtrack is a mixture of things; they call it alternative. Alternative music is music that has a little hip-hop, country and it is combined to make the great compulation of the soundtrack "Someone Like mouon A pKlurc toumltrack V;u: Ta; --X I A V.»r. M.ir-nt ir-nw-n lycftncx Rappers have become less about keeping it real By Andriniea Scott Argus Reporter Rapping back in the day showcased the tal ents of others. It was something that every one could enjoy. It was something dif ferent that gave rhym ing a kick. Not everyone was able to get in the game of rapping. If you didn't have the talent, then you were not a part of the game. Now it's like every one is in the game. It's all about who you know now. I never thought rapping was about reading a script. It really gets to me to see all these fake rappers play ing karaoke with the world. If you don't know what I mean by this statement, then here's the truth. There are a lot of fake rappers who don't write their own music. This closes a door for a lot of people who have true talent but can't get in because someone who can read well to a beat has taken their place. Rumor has it that Foxy Brown doesn't write her own music, but she wants to be the Queen of Rap. Trina definitely does n't write her own bars. Give thanks to the "Bad- dest (dude)" Trick Daddy and the ador able Lil' Bow Wow, no he doesn't write his own lines. But there are still those out there who do write their own bars and keep it real. T^e Queen Bee her self, the notorious Lil' Kim, puts in work to write a hot 16 while the realest chick, E-V-E, holds down RR to the fullest as the first lady, and Missy Elliot gets her freak on representing Virginia. Before copping your next CD, check to see who is really behind the music. I'm not saying stop buying the CDs of your favorite artist, but at least know whose lyrics you're really liking. Be on the look out for the next Milli Vanilli's with a banging back drop cause "don't you know it's true," their out there and coming soon to a Peaches near you.
