Red Dragon: A Cultural Experience, was the Asian theme for the coronation of Latoya Perry and Theodis Chunn Jr. The International Dancers from Salem College and A.R.T. Dance Company performed for the royal court. The royal ball followed in the McNeil Banquet Hall in the Anderson Center. The concert was at the Millennium Center in downtown Winston-Salem. The featured performers were J. Holiday, and Slim formerly of the group 112. The concert also featured TCB, a local Go-Go Band.
