The cast for the upcoming play
“Dracula” was selected following
auditions on September 22 in McDowell
Columns.
Ms. Sandy Boyce, head of the
production, said the audition was a lot
better than last year. The students
displayed more creativeness and
quality in their acting style, she ob
served.
The cast consists of 17 students. The
actors include Frank Underwood as:
Dracula, Becky Brasie as Lucie, Joe
Maze as Arthur, Bob Lumpkins as Dr.
Quincy, Penny Jones as Mina, Rhett
Coates as Jonathon, Bernard Ingram as
Renfield and Jeff Davidson as Van
Helseng.
Right now members of the drama
workshop are busy working on the
scenery for the play. They are building
a sanatorium, where the story will take
place. Rehearsals are all this month.
“Dracula” is a real “mystery thriller
and enough to give you cold chills” said
Boyce, “Beware the next full moon,
Dracula will be restless.”
Scenes from the play will be
presented at assembly on October 27
and October 29. Tickets will be on sale
in Thomas Cafeteria on October 22. The
play will be held on October 29 through
November 1 at 8 p.m. in McDowell
Columns, with a special matinee on
October 30, Halloween at 1:30 p.m.
