MAFIOSO (1963) Otalian
The film is about a
respected factory worker who
takes his family on a vacation
to his native Sicily, where he
accidentally becomes in
volved in a Mafia murder
conspiracy. The well-paced
tale takes him on a funny
series of escapades from Italy
to America, where he is
forced by the Mafia to kill a
complete stranger. It is not
only a pleasant comedy, but is
also one of the better chillers
to come our way.
MAFIOSO won Best Picture
Award at the San Sabastian
Film Festival and the Best
Actor and Best Screenplay
awards from the Italian Film
Critics.
