As associate director of Le Teatre du Nouveau- Monde in Montreal, Millaire directed Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” Ionesco’s “Rhinoceros” and several plays by Canadian authors. In addition, he played Hamlet, Figaro in “Le Mariage de Figaro,” by Beaumarchais and Tartuffe in “Le Tartuffe,” by Moliere. Millaire has also served as artistic director of Le Teatre Populaire du Quebeck and co- artistic director of the Centre Teatre in Montreal. In April he will direct Massenet’s “Manon Lescauf’-for L’opera du Quebec. Last Summer, Millaire directed and performed in “La Guerre, Yes Sir” at the Stratford, On tario, i^akespearean Festival. His numerous acting credits include Philinte in a film of “Le Misanthrope” for the Ministry of Education of the Province of Quebec. Millaire will be in residence for five weeks during the preparation of the play.
