CHATTER
Hey? Pullen! Just to let you
know that a certain young man is
calling these days.
Quarterraan seems to like the
stories of Baby Kaye.
“Braith,” did Eickey ever tell
you that she didn’t care for men in
uniform ? But did you see her
strolling off the campus between two
recently ?
Competition is a good thing; aft
er all it gave Minnie the chance to
show which way Fax would turn.
Have you heard Edith Mask sing
the song, “I’m Pullen through”?
Get a bird’s eye view of Gwen
and Johnson every afternoon about
5:30; note how they bounce along
in perfect rhythm.
Piper is evidently getting his re
venge by showing ash” that he
can “Chip” up somebody else, too.
Mary Gray is still singing, “I
cry for you.”
Becky is very much interested in
the Marines, or should we say the
Marine. It was good to see the ole
Bob again, wasn’t it?
“Joe Joe” issued her warning,
“Hands off the Miller.”
Lane is a smooth talker all right;
just ask Cordelia.
Mason seems to be experimenting
with the idea of being a glamour
boy.
It seems as if St. Aug’s Paul
Eobeson gave Doris her encore with
orchids. When’s your birthday,
Chad?
Scotty, did Tish ask you to look
after Ashby, or take him?
McKinney (observing Theodore
staring sadly at an empty plate in
front of him) ; What’s the matter
T. J., are you in love?
Theodore: Heck no. I’ve just run
out of food.
It seems as if the basketball man
ager, Holsey by name, is quite a
man about the campus. Is it Miss
Edwards, Hopkins, Scott, or Clark?
Johnny M., how is your “daugh
ter” getting along?
It looks as if Helen Gill is strict
ly for Beckles.
We wonder when Billy Young is
going to make up her mind. Is it
Shirley Williams, John Anderson,
or the old one, Wayland Horton?
It seems as if E. Sands likes tall
men. Carrie and Bernetta want
to know if you are Hinton at Bill.
Mr. Piper, what does the city
chick think of Vashti and Chippey,
or does she know?
Gloria, are you trying to make
up Joe’s mind, or is Miss Dupree
doing it for you?
Scotty, what are you going to do
with the “Boys” when Curtis comes
marching home?
Conduct
Grant graciously what you cannot
refuse safely.
