The Pen 15 ly of Christmas Carols. The lead ing soloists for the program were Miss Thelma Johnson, and Mr. Quentin Miller. In its first major program of the year, the Acies Club presented Dr. iVlphonse Ileninburg of North Caro lina College for ISTegroes. The Les Elites Club sponsored two major musical programs recent ly. The first was a piano concert, given by Mrs. Elizabeth Vincent Mayo, wife of Professor T. Curtis Mayo, Music Director at St. Au gustine’s and the other was a con cert given by the Washington High School band. The latter program included overtures.
