The Community Council shall be composed of 4 students, 2 faculty members and 1 staff member. The office of the Dean will publis^i a list of those students who have a C average, and from this list the faculty will select S. The stu dent body at large will elect 4. The students will select 4 fac ulty members from v;hich the facul ty will choose 2. The member from the staff shall be appointed by them. Following Christmas vacation, the Council will be organized more fully and elections held.. CHRISTMAS DANCE Last Night, December 15, I960 North Caroliaa Wesleyan College had its first semi-formal Chrisl> mas party. ” The Clubmen" from. Rocky Mount furnished the music for the dance. Santa, played by President Thomas Colliifi^ gave out gag gifts which included jack focks, frog skeletons, hair dye, and a light bulb for a bright Christmas. Decorations consisted of the Christmas tree and various decor ations loaned by the garden club of Rocky Mount., The Student Government Organi zation of North Carolina Wesleyan was formed during the second week of October, I960.. The following students were elected to serve as officers for the 1960r6l &chooJl year: Henry Sanders, President; Vann Massej5 Vice-President; Donna Ramey, Treasurer; Patsy Warrer^ Secretary. Mr, Raymond E. Bauer, Dean of Men, is faculty adviser. These officers have set up sev eral committees. The chairmen of these committees have been elected by the student body, QUARTET SINGS Thursday, December ' I960, the barbershop quartet of Narth Carolina Wesleyan College gave its first public performance at a Meeting of the Rocky Mount lions Club. The unnamed ' four, 'which, was organized in October,■1960, sang ”You Are My Sunshine", "When You Wore A Tulip", "You Tell Me Your Dream,I’ll Tell You Mine", "Silent Night", and "In The Evening By The Moonlight". The quartet con sists of Dicky Moore, bass;Erancis Eason, second tenor; Royall Brown, first tenor; and Ronnie Carter, baritone. Joan Lamberth is accompanist •for the group and Dr. William Sasser; Director of Music, advises them.
