Well here we are at
the flnale of another year.
It seemed to go by so slow
but we made it. And now we
dedicate to those who have
endured the trials and tribu
lations presented by academic
and unacedemic elements in
Wesleyan life our grand finale.
Due to precedent and tra
dition which we strive to oblit
erate we have come to the
impulsive decision not to give
our well wishings to the
seniors. We believe that we
who have further tenure at
this institution deserve their
commiserations for more than
they deserve ours. We would
like to say one thing though,
“Jesus loves you more than
you will know.”
We feel that the awards
given at the assembly on the
14th were not sufficient in
conveying all truly outstand
ing attributes of the Wesleyan
students.

belittled about the whole deal;
you know how love sickness
is.
One night while some “little
group” was making its rounds
we noticed that someone left
the lights on in the cabin down
at Pearsall’s. We sure wish
you would turn the lights off
when you’re done. It upsets
the balance of nature when
left on.
Well this about wraps up
this issue and the year for
Poiytin’ Around. It could
possibly be the end of Poiyt
for good due to that censor
board next year.

The Chinese Wall
The N. C. Wesleyan Col
lege Theater presented its
annual Spring Production,
“The Chinese Wall,” Thurs
day through Saturday even
ings, May 9-11.
“The Chinese Wall,” a
modern farce by Swiss play
wright Max Frisch, centers
on the efforts of a young man
to dam up history. The play
brings together notable his
torical figures, including Pon
tius Pilate, Christopher
Columbus, Napoleon and many
others, in a way that is high
ly amusing, often surprising.
Anthony Dingman, director
of the WCT, directed a cast
of 40 students and faculty
members in the production
which marked the initial pre-
sentation of the play in North
Carolina.
One of the most compli
cated productions presented
in Rocky Mount, the staging
of “The Chinese Wall” in
volved an intricate mixing of
media, including both live and
taped music, films and slides
and characters both living and
dead.
A new seating-stage ar
rangement was in use for the
production. The gym was con
verted into a theater, using
both the bleachers and raised
tier seating around a proseen-
tier seating around a prosce
nium-type stage erected in the
center of the floor, assuring
good audience view of the
stage.
