Nader and his men were christened “Naider’s Raiders” by Life Magazine in lieu of their extensive expositions of faults in major business. His most widely known ac complishment was his pointing out to automobile manufactur ers the need for seat belts and shoulder harness. He further pointed out that advertising leaves much to be desired in that the managers only advertise the appearances of cars. He used the examples such as, “When y'ou drive a Cougar you prowl.” He went on to say that sex is a promo- nent feature in the advertis ing. Nader implied that is partial ly the fault of the people in that they do not demand to know about the durability of the cars they purchase. Continuing his speech, Na der talked about food products. A native of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Taylor has been employed on the library staff at Rocky Mount Senior High School for the past 5 years. She replaces Miss Jenny Ramirez, who resigned October 31.
