Letters To Editor (Continued from Page 2) THE DECREE, get such a fan tastic amount of intellectual freedom . . ,'i, and, all in all, I^m truly happy to say that Wesleyan completely fullfills any and all requirement for a living, free environment of in tellectual growth. The most poignantly unique things at Wesleyan, however, is the opportunity it provides for one to thoroughly understand all the many many different types of people in this world. There are so many different people at Wesleyan, all of whom have so greatly contributed to my growth and understanding of this wonderful world, in gen eral, that it is difficult to single out any group that has done me the most amount of good. However, without wishing to take away from any of the other groups, I feel that one must certainly be held respon sible for my attempts at mat urity and understanding, under gone through my first semes ter here at Wesleyan. _ That group, though no inten tion of their own, (for by de finition it is impossible for this group to have any clear- cut intentions), are the emo tionally disturbed students of Wesleyan who can manage, quite successfully, (bless their hearts !i to take their trays to the tables in the cafeteria, but, for some, no doubt, se vere emotional block, cannot feel it within their realm of capacities to take the tray back to get it washed. I have witnessed this many “a time” since Pve been here and at first I was greatly puzzl ed by the whole proceedings. Just who were these people, I asked myself, who had the pri vilege of behaving like slobs? I now realize with true under standing, sympathy, pity, and a little hope how unfortunate these poor individuals are. And reali zing this, I realize also what a wonderful school 1 attend, for here I can truly prepare my self for the not-ahvays-so- very-pleasant realities of life. Thank you for letting me ex press my gratitude to Wesleyan. Sincerely, Mary Getlein, Freshman QUALITY LAUNDRY And Gleaners 238-242 “Shirts Fit For A King” SANITONE DRY CLEAKIHG 238 TARBORO ST. During the second half, the Hornets made several attempts at a rally, but they fell short as “Nick” Laurenson, Phil Me- ' Phail, and Roger Taylor led the Bishops. With Jake Barnes sit ting out with three fouls early in the third quarter, his replacement, Ted Midgett, de monstrated one beautiful lay up shot that seemed impossible. The Bishops not only were able to score, both from the floor and foul line, but good defense often forced Greensboro to take PIZZA INN CARRY OUT EAT DM 44^^ MON. ■ FRI. 4 - 12 SAT. 12- 12-SUN. 4-10 Order by Phone For Faster Service Allow Approximately 20 Minutes STUDENTS Feel Free To Use Our College Branch Office.
