What are Your Options?
By; Kristin Haring
On May 8th, many students wii!
graduate from North Carolina
Wesleyan College with various
undergraduate degrees. What
comes next for these graduating
seniors in a job market that is
looking rather bleak?
There are two choices for
students getting ready to
graduate. One choice is to hope
for a break in the job market
and the other is to continue
one’s education by pursuing a
master’s or a doctorate degree.
Paula Harrell, a sociology
professor here at Wesleyan, is
urging her students to continue
their education. She is a firm
believer that the economy will
eventually strengthen and, with

career, and better preparation
for the job market upon
graduation. It is appropriate
to set aside a special week to
draw the awareness of others,
both on campus and off, to the
contributions student workers
make in the multitude of roles
they fill.
This year will mark the second
year that North Carolina
