We wish a speedy recovery for Els1.e Edwards, Beulah Weaver, Katherine Garrett and Tempie Page, all of whom are employees of the Seaming Depart ment. We hope they will be back real soon. Frances Jackson, of the Inspecting Department, has a beautiful as well as an interesting hobby. She raises iris and can boast of over 170 varieties. The lawn of "Square Acres", her home inLandrum, S. C., is attractively land scaped with iris and candytuft, which she enjoys sharing with her friends. Quite adept at flower arranging, she has won prizes for her work. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Russell Durham on the birth of a son, Brantley Hollan, born on May 15. Rus sell is a first shift fixer in the Knitting Department. Welcome to newcomers John Chit wood, cleaner; Harley Jackson, fireman and watchman; andto Ellen Parker, Nell Gosnell, Bessie Pittman and Louise Denton Pruette, all of the Seaming De partment. The Kay Connor s have a new daugh ter, Jacqueline. Kay is a knitter and Lucy a seamer at Plant #8. A son, Rickie, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Abria Campbell recently. Wilma is employed in our Seaming Department. Mr. and Mrs. John Spurlin are the proud parents of a fine son, Joseph Wiley, who is now seven months old. pinessl We hope Lona Fox will soon be well and able to return to work. She is a coner at Plant #9. We have two new grandmothers in our plant. Lillie Spurlin, a redrawer, has a new granddaughter, Carmela Pet rine Metcalf, born on March 3. And Bessie Whitesides, who operates a du plex machine, has a new granddaughter, Pamela Denise, born on April 9. Albert Durham, fixer, is shown with his daughter, Te resa, eight months old. Teresa's grandparents are employed at Adams- Millis, also. Her grandmother, Roxie Durham is a mender at Plant #8, and her grandfather, Troy Durham, is a super visor at Plant #9. Our deepest sympathy goes to Katie Phillips in the loss of her eleven- months-old son, Clifford Stott, on May 14. Katie is a duplexer. c :(c « HAVE YOU EARNED TOMORROW? PLANT NO. 9 Minnie Spurlin and Frank Smith were married on April 22 at the First Baptist Church in Forest City, N. C.
