the High Point Industrial Management
Club. The display, recognized as one
of the outstanding monthly presenta
tions of the various companies ofHigh
Point which are designed to acquaint
the public with the products made in
this area, featured the Pointer line of
men's hose, including the stretch
socks, work socks, and the latest pat
terns in cotton socks. Sharing the
spotlight was the equally popular
"GeTaZ" Loopless Toe Stocking in the
ladies' seamless line. Dr. Neal
Bowman, who was introduced by Mr.
Smith, was speaker for the meeting.
Plants Given
Favorable Report
Mr. John R. Bulla, inspector of
the North Carolina Department of
Labor, inspected our plants in Hi gh
Point recently to determine our com
pliance with the provisions of the North
Carolina Department of Labor. In his
report, Mr. Bulla commended the High
Point plants for their excellent record
in 1958 in attaining a frequency rate of
1.9, which is less than the statewide
rate for the hosiery industry.
Mr. Bulla called attention to
several minor items of housekeeping
in our plants and those have been cor
rected. Here is an area which calls
for the support and cooperation of
